Protecting your personal data in accordance with Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

This Data Protection Policy ("DPP") sets out how Cedar Strategi Consulting ("we", "our" or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. What kind of Data will this DPP Apply to

This DPP applies to "personal data" which means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access.

2. What is not Personal Data

Data that has been anonymized so that the individual is no longer identifiable is not personal data. Anonymization techniques include:

  • Banding or hiding the value
  • Mixing up or replacing values
  • Removing certain details

c. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer. However, please note that:

  • Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide services to you
  • We may still retain your personal data for legal or business purposes
  • Withdrawal of consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use and disclose personal data where such collection, use and disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws

5. Data Quality

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that personal data collected by us is accurate and complete, having regard to the purpose for which the personal data was collected, used or disclosed.

6. Data Security & Retention

We will protect personal data in our possession or under our control by making reasonable security arrangements to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks.

We will also cease to retain documents containing personal data, or remove the means by which the personal data can be associated with particular individuals, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that the purpose for which that personal data was collected is no longer being served by retention of the personal data.
